MICHIGAN CITY | Several organizations will partner to clean up the Washington Park Beach & Trail Creek in celebration of International Beach Clean-up Day.

Those groups include NIPSCO’s Environmental Action Team (NEAT), Trail Creek Watershed Group, Northwest Indiana Paddling Association, Michigan City Parks and Recreation Department, Alliance for the Great Lakes, Urban Waters, Save the Dunes, Shirley Heinze Land Trust, Michigan City Port Authority, Michigan City Forester, MCNEAT, Michigan City Sanitary District, the LaPorte County Soil and Water Conservation District, LaPorte County Convention and Visitors Bureau and Barefoot Winery. Michigan City Beaches & Blueways Cleanup will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 21. Pre-register at www.greatlakes.org and indicate which location you would like to help clean up.
