A Michigan City man is accused of molesting children over a several year period.
Raven McGinty, 35, is charged in LaPorte Superior Court 1 with three counts of Class A felony child molesting.
He could face anywhere from a 20 to 50-year sentence on each count.
The charging information alleges McGinty performed deviate sexual conduct with a girl beginning when she was 8; a boy starting when he was 7 along with a 9-year-old boy.
The female victim was molested between April of 2000 and September of 2006 while the first alleged male victim was molested from January of 2001 to June of 2006, according to court documents.
McGinty is charged with the molesting the other boy in May of 2012.
Michigan City Police Detective Matt Barr said McGinty was investigated in 2007 when at least one of the victims came forward, but no charges resulted due to lack of sufficient evidence.
In June, Barr said the case was reopened when another victim came forward and this time charges resulted because of additional evidence being obtained.
"He's not a good guy and this is definitely for the best," said Barr.
