MICHIGAN CITY | Police are searching for a young man who allegedly invaded a woman's home, robbed her and sexually assaulted her.
The home invasion and sexual assault occurred about 8:30 p.m. Friday in the 2500 block of Bruce Drive, Michigan City police said.
The victim drove her vehicle into the garage. When she got out of the car, a man with a weapon forced her into the house, police said.
The suspect, described as a young black man, about 5 foot 7 and wearing a black hoodie, robbed and sexually assaulted the woman before jumping a fence and running away, police said.
