MICHIGAN CITY | An exhibit of art by members of Northern Indiana Artists, based in South Bend, will be held now through May 20 at the LaPorte County Convention & Visitors Bureau. Awards will be announced at a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Refreshments will be served.
LaPorte County Convention & Visitors Bureau is inside Marquette Mall, 4073 S. Franklin St.
Viewing hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The judge will be Dale Cooper, curator and information center manager of the visitors bureau.
Northern Indiana Artists has 110 members and celebrated its 70th year of operation last year. Meetings are held at the South Bend Museum of Art the second Sundays of September, November, January and March. A social meeting is held in May. For membership information: P.O. Members work in a variety of media including oils, watercolor, acrylics, pastel, drawing, digital art, pottery, sculpture and fibers.
