MICHIGAN CITY | A Michigan City man has agreed to serve a 45-year prison term for the shooting death of a teenager.

Jamar Pasha, 21, pleaded guilty to murder in LaPorte Superior Court 1 on Thursday.

In exchange for the plea, charges of Class A felony robbery and Class D felony criminal gang activity would be dismissed.

According to police, children were walking home after getting off a school bus last September when shots rang out.

Isiah Wright, 16, was found dead outside the former Eastport School on Michigan Boulevard.

Pasha is scheduled for sentencing July 25 if the court accepts the terms of the plea, according to court records.

Two other defendants, John Isbell, 18, and Tabitha Bahus, 25, still have charges of murder, robbery and criminal gang activity still pending in the case, according to court records.

Isbell is scheduled for trial July 15 while Bahus has a trial date of July 22.
