LAPORTE COUNTY | LaPorte County police said a Michigan City woman was drunk when injured in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday.
The 29-year-old woman was transferred to Memorial Hospital in South Bend complaining of pain to her back, according to LaPorte County police.
Police said the woman told officers she was heading home from a bar when she lost control of her vehicle, possibly because of a broken wheel bearing.
She went off the road and overturned several times on Ind. 2 near the LaPorte County Fairgrounds.
A warrant is being sought for her arrest for operating while intoxicated with a blood alcohol level of .244, police said.
