MICHIGAN CITY | Westbound South Shore trains originating from the Carroll Avenue station are back on schedule after a broken rail caused delays of up to 20 minutes early Thursday.
The broken rail was at the 11th Street station. Northern Indiana Commuter Rail Line Spokesman John Parsons said the rail was repaired and all trains departing after Train No. 212 should be on time.
Delays remain for trains that originated in Michigan City are are still traveling into Chicago, he said.
