LaPorte County Sheriff's Department were looking Tuesday for a stolen trailer loaded with aluminum coils.
Trucker driver James Bane dropped his trailer outside Speedway on U.S. 421 near Interstate 94 on Saturday, according to authorities.
He left it there and went home for the weekend but when he returned Monday, the trailer was gone.
Investigators said the trailer was loaded with over 42,000 pounds of aluminum coils sitting on a dozen skids.
No suspects were reported.
