LAPORTE COUNTY | Two men could face time in prison for an attack in Rolling Prairie that left the victim with a brain injury.
Erik Foster, 41, of Rolling Prairie, and Cory Foster, 35, who lives near Westville, are charged in LaPorte Circuit Court with Class C felony battery.
According to court documents, David Martinez on Feb. 3 was found unconscious outside the VFW post.
Police said the investigation shows Martinez was asked to leave the bar during a Super Bowl party due to disruptive behavior.
Erik Foster, the manager of the bar, told police Martinez then punched him in the face.
After Martinez left, Erik Foster told police he and his cousin, Cory Foster, hit and kicked Martinez, court documents revealed.
Martinez suffered a brain hemorrhage and blood clots under his eye.
LaPorte County Police Chief of Detectives Pat Cicero said Martinez has since been released from the hospital.
