MICHIGAN CITY | Michigan City police issued a list of saftey precautions in the wake of two reported sexual assaults earlier this week.
The assaults occurred just before midnight, one Tuesday in the area of Lafayette Street and Barker Avenue and the other Wednesday near Wabash and 11th streets.
Police urged residents to keep a cellphone on hand for emergency calls; walk in groups of two or more; stay in well-lighted, busy areas and be aware of surroundings.
