Police investigate Hudson Lake shooting incident
HUDSON LAKE | LaPorte County Police are investigating a Sunday morning shooting incident that shattered a fish tank inside a man's home.
Police said the man woke up and discovered water all over his floor from a fish tank shattered by a bullet. He then discovered other bullets had flown into his home and shattered windows in his vehicle.
Police were called to the Hudson Lake residence just before 4 a.m. Sunday. The 24-year-old man told officers after discovering the shattered aquarium, he looked outside and saw more bullet holes in his vehicle and broken windows in his 1999 Ford Explorer.
Police said there also were bullet holes in a wall above a couch. Two of the .40-caliber rounds were found on the bathroom floor next to the toilet. Police said six shell casings were recovered on or near the road in front of the residence.
Police have no suspects, and the man told investigators he could think of no reason for anyone to want to spray his home with gunfire.
