LAPORTE | A Portage man seriously hurt in a crash in LaPorte County was still hospitalized Friday.
Jack Beverly, 27, was not responsive at the Oct. 18 scene of the wreck and was flown to a hospital in South Bend. His injuries were not disclosed, but Friday he was reported by hospital officials in good condition.
Beverly veered over the centerline on U.S. 421 and hit the back end of an oncoming semi trailer on U.S. 421 near LaCrosse.
Police said Beverly, after hitting the semi, struck a third vehicle. A passenger in his vehicle, Christopher Shamblin, 5, of Valparaiso complained of pain to his head. There were no other serious injuries.
