Easter at Bethel Church

CROWN POINT | Bethel Church invites the community to attend its annual Easter services at the Crown Point and Cedar Lake campuses. Easter services are at 4:30 and 6:15 p.m. today (Crown Point campus only) and at 8, 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. at both campuses Sunday. Each service will feature a special choir, traditional and contemporary worship music and preaching by Bethel Pastors Steve DeWitt and Tony Sorci. Child care is available for newborns through 5-year-olds. Kids over age 5 can sit in the service with parents or guardians. Call (219) 663-9200.

Deacons serve breakfast

HAMMOND | Church deacons will cook a breakfast of pancakes, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, fruit, juice, milk and coffee from 8 to 11 a.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 6709 Arizona Ave. A freewill offering will be taken to use for the deacons' Mercy Ministry throughout the community and help cover expenses. Easter egg hunt

CROWN POINT | Living Hope Church will host an Easter egg hunt at the Lake County Fairgrounds. This free event for infants through 11-year-olds features 250,000 eggs, 300 prize eggs filled with bikes, iPods and baskets. Also featured are multiple helicopter candy drops, bounce houses, face painting and the Easter bunny. Gates open at 9 a.m. with bounce houses and face painting available. Egg hunt, breakfast

MUNSTER | A community egg hunt and breakfast will be at Munster Christian Reformed Church, 214 Ridge Road. On the schedule is breakfast from 7:45 to 9 a.m., egg hunt from 8:15 to 8:45 for ages 10 and younger, activity and story from 8:45 to 9:15 and worship service from 9:30 to 10:30.
