Rokita running for re-election
INDIANAPOLIS | Republican U.S. Rep. Todd Rokita announced Monday he will run for re-election in 2012.
The Indiana General Assembly has proposed redrawing Rokita's district to include Newton, Jasper and Benton counties, along with the traditional 4th District territory west of Indianapolis.
"While I am still reviewing the maps, I absolutely will be running for re-election in the 4th Congressional District," Rokita said in a statement.
Rokita, a Munster native, served two terms as Indiana Secretary of State before being elected to Congress in 2010.
