MOROCCO | Two brothers are facing battery and strangulation charges stemming from an alleged incident uncovered during a separate theft investigation by Indiana State Police.
Police said officers investigating the thefts, which are alleged to have occurred between November 2012 and March 2013, learned of an incident Oct. 15 during which a dispute over money between two family members led to the alleged battery and strangulation.
Facing charges in the incident are brothers Jody Dick, 37, and Richard Dick, 36, both of Morocco.
The men are charged with single counts of felony strangulation and misdemeanor battery in the incident, police said Thursday.
Charges remain pending in the alleged thefts at two Morocco residences at which the men, co-owners of a construction company, were working at the time, police said.
Items involved in the theft were recovered when a search warrant was executed Thursday at the men's homes, police said.
