HOBART, IN - Amelia 'Bump' Joan Olson, age 11, of Hobart, passed away suddenly December 1, 2017. Amelia was a sixth grade student at the Hobart Middle School. She was a member of St. Bridget's Catholic Church. Amelia was active in Team Lead and played the violin in orchestra at school. All through school she was on the 'A' Honor Roll. Amelia loved animals and had the dream of someday owning her own farm. She also loved dancing, singing, making slime, prank calls and the Gilmore Girls. Amelia especially loved The Lord, family and friends, her dog Hazel, and Milo Ventimiglia.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Jack and Pat Olson; niece, Karen Olson, maternal great grandparents: Robert and Bonnie Perrine. Amelia is survived by her loving parents: Mark and Bonnie (nee Perrine); brother, Jack; sister, Maddy; maternal grandparents: Debbie and Dave Mauck; paternal grandparents: Mike and Leann Perrine; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral service for Amelia will be 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2017, beginning with prayers at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 701 East 7th Street, Hobart, proceeding to St. Bridget Catholic Church, 107 Main Street, Hobart, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., Fr. Dominic V. Bertino and Rev. Benjamin Ross, concelebrating. Friends may visit with her family on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Burns (Hobart), from 2:00-7:00 p.m. Contributions may be made to the Hobart Humane Society. www.burnsfuneral.com.
