It is with great sadness that the family of Dr. Edmundo V. Manzano announces his passing on Thursday January 25, 2018, at the age of 78 years.
A native of Munster, Indiana, Dr. Manzano was born in the Philippines and attended medical school at Far Eastern University in Manila, graduating in 1962. Dr. Manzano was a practicing anesthesiologist in Northwest Indiana for over 40 years until his retirement in 2012.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 28 years, Rose, his son Paul (Hazel), and his two grandchildren, Annalisa and Jonathan. He was predeceased by his wife Bridget in 1988. He will also be fondly remembered by his brother, Oscar (Febe) and sister Lourdes (Manuel) Malicay. He was predeceased by his sister Thelma and brother-in-law Celso Vicera. He will also be forever remembered by his stepson Chris Cleavely (Carla), and by his numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.
A visitation in memory of Dr. Manzano will be held on Sunday February 11, 2018 from 12:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. at BURNS-KISH FUNERAL HOME, located at 8415 Calumet Avenue, in Munster, Indiana. Funeral mass will be held on Monday February 12 at 10:00a.m. at St. Thomas More Church, located at 8501 Calumet Avenue, in Munster, Indiana with Fr. Mike Yadron officiating.
