SOUTHSIDE CHICAGO - Esther M. Zamudio, age 89 of Southside Chicago, passed away November 9, 2017. She was active in baseball as a young girl. She was a tomboy, but loved to 'dress to the nines'. Esther ran a punch press for years for many auto companies. She was a recent member of St. Matthias Catholic Church in Crown Point and also St. Jude in South Chicago. Esther was always so kind, thoughtful, caring, and compassionate. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma, great and great-great grandma. Esther was so loved by her family and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Joseph Zamudio; three children: Debra (Jeffrey) Smith, Denise (Robert) Kollar, and not only her daughter, but her partner in crime, and best buddy, Dionne Zamudio; numerous grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren; sister, Helen Miller.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. BURNS FUNERAL HOME, CROWN POINT entrusted with arrangements.
