Juanita Louise Tryon (Wolfe)
CROWN POINT, IN-Juanita Louise Tryon (Wolfe) of Crown Point, Indiana, formerly of Terre Haute and Evansville, Indiana went home to be with her Lord on February 6, 2018. She was born in Dugger, Indiana August 20, 1920 to Ora and Ann Deckard Wolfe. She married Floyd Tryon on March 28th, 1942.
They lived in Terre Haute, Indiana for forty years and raised three children in the same house on North 6th Street. In 1968 she went to work for the Terre Haute Star newspaper as the women's page editor and food editor. When she retired in 1981, she moved to Evansville, Indiana to help manage her husband's company, Clean Air of Evansville.
In 2017, at 96 years-old, she published 'A Legacy of Love', a family history about growing up during the depression era. An active member of Bethel Church, Crown Point, Indiana, she was life-long Christian and a service leader for various community programs. She lived an exemplary life of service, teaching her children and grandchildren by her example.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Eva; four brothers: Dale, Jim, Max, Robert, and a great granddaughter, Ana Hick. She is survived by a sister, Ruth Johnson of Columbus, Indiana; sisters-in-law, Virginia Wolfe of Cromwell, Connecticut, and Marge Shirley of Marshall, Illinois; her three children: Susan McMurray, Sulphur Springs, Texas, James and Janice Kosiba, Crown Point, Indiana, and Michael and Cathy Tryon, Crystal Lake, Illinois; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She had a listening ear and loving heart for everyone who knew her. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and role model.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, February 12, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at GEISEN FUNERAL, CREMATION & RECEPTION CENTRE, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Bethel Church, 10202 Broadway, Crown Point, IN 46307 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Steve DeWitt officiating. Interment will take place on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Roselawn Memorial Park, 7500 N. Clinton St., Terre Haute, IN 47805.
