LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ-Vicki Dawn Ford, age 65, of Lake Havasu City, AZ, formerly of Portage, IN, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, December 17, 2017. She was born on August 15, 1952 in Sioux Falls, SD to Irvin and Karolina (Birkland) Blake.

Vicki is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Norman Ford, Sr. currently of Knox, IN; daughter, Dawn (Dan) Clark of Portage, IN; sons, Norman (Heather) Ford, Jr. of Avon Lake, OH; and Daniel (Amber) Ford of Hayes, VA; grandchildren; Grant and Garrett Clark, Payton and Madison Ford, and baby girl Ford arriving in April 2018; mother, Karolina Blake and sister, Linda Ziegler (Lynn Joneson), both of Sioux Falls, SD, and many other family members and close friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Irvin Blake in 2003.

Vicki was a U.S. Army veteran. She worked 10 years as a teacher's aide for Portage Township Schools. She was a member of the Grace Church of the Nazarene in Portage, IN. She spent 15 memorable years with her husband at their retirement home in Lake Havasu City, AZ during the winters and the summers at their home on Bass Lake in Knox, IN. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bike riding, boating, and browsing yard sales.

She had so much strength packed into her petite frame. After bravely battling issues with her health, she received the most selfless gift from her son Daniel, a donated kidney. That gift provided her with four more years of cherished memories with her family and friends.

Vicki was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She was loved deeply and will be missed by all who knew her.

Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at EDMONDS & EVANS FUNERAL HOME, Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, IN 46368, with Pastor Mark Hostetler officiating. Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Online condolences to the family may be made at:
