Faye Lynch was a kind and loving woman who made friends everywhere she went, said her daughter, Karen Pavel.
She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Pavel said.
“She even learned to Skype,” she said. “She valued family above everything.”
Faye Lynch, 81, of Crown Point and formerly of Lakes of the Four Seasons, died Jan. 26. She was preceded in death by Joseph F. Lynch, her husband of 57 years, in 2010.
She was born and raised in Oconomowoc, Wis., and met her husband at a supper club where they both worked.
The family settled in Lakes of the Four Seasons in 1980, and Lynch became involved in golfing, gardening and the LOFS Keenagers group. She was also a member of the St. Joan of Arc ARCS Club, her daughter said.
“She had a green thumb, and her flowers were always just beautiful,” she said.
Faye and Joseph Lynch loved to travel, especially to Florida, where they would golf, ride bikes and look for sharks teeth.
Two months prior to her brain cancer diagnosis, she traveled extensively, including trips to Las Vegas, Pittsburgh and Canada. She also attended a wedding in Cancun.
“She was always in the pool, making friends,” Pavel said.
Lynch prided herself in her appearance and always had coiffed hair and polished nails, her daughter said.
“She was always meticulously dressed,” she said. “She was only 4'11", but she told people she was 5'3". She always looked perfect.”
