A Chicago man faces a charge of felon in possession of a firearm after posting photos of himself online with guns from a firearms store in Gary, federal court records state.

Akeem Dillon, 27, was arrested Wednesday.

Dillon was identified after posting a photo of himself inside the Westforth Sports store in Gary on a social media website, according to court documents. In the photo, he poses with two handguns and three long guns, court records state.

Police interviewed store employees, who said Dillon and a second person in the photo also looked at a number of semi-automatic pistols but did not purchase a gun or ammo, according to court records.

Dillon was convicted in Cook County in 2004 of a felony delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school and in 2005 of possession of a stolen vehicle.
