HEBRON | Two percent pay raises went to the Hebron schools superintendent and two principals at Tuesday's meeting of the M.S.D. of Boone Township School Board.
The board approved the salary increases for the 2009-2010 school year for Superintendent George Letz. Hebron High School Principal Mark Lutze and Hebron Elementary School Principal James Martin.
Board President Jeff Barzycki said the increases were justified in a time of economic crisis and strained school budgets by the administrators' hard work.
"Our administrators put in many hours. We need to reward them," he said. Barzycki also said Hebron educator salaries were the lowest in Porter County. - By Brian Williams, The Times
