Theft. Porter resident Jeffrey Brewer told police he was in a serious crash on Saturday and his vehicle was towed by Joe's Towing. He told police he went to Joe's to retrieve some property and discovered someone removed a cooler and three new fishing lures. The loss is $39.
Fraud. Chesterton resident Sharon Kaminski reported her juvenile daughter received payroll checks from a food establishment, but the checks were returned as coming from a closed account

WEDNESDAY
Break and enter. Police responded to an alarm at Two Men and a Truck, 4701 Airport Road, at 1:35 a.m. and discovered the front door to the business was open and the door's glass was shattered. The office manager told police nothing was missing.

Burglary. Robert Harbrecht told police someone broke into his work shop on Burdick Road and stole tools, machinery and tractor parts. The loss is $10,350.
