PORTAGE | A disc jockey who left some of his equipment unattended briefly before a performance at Woodland Park's Oakwood Grand Hall returned to find someone stole 5,000 compact discs and scattered hundreds more on the floor, Portage police said.
The theft occurred between 9:10 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
The DJ, Portage resident Tim Bono, told police he set up some of his equipment in advance of a performance, then left it unattended for about 20 minutes while he went to gather more equipment from his home.

Bono also discovered his microphone was damaged when it was knocked to the floor.
Portage police said the theft remains under investigation.
