SOCCER REGISTRATION
The Valparaiso Department of Parks and Recreation is accepting youth spring soccer registrations. This instructional soccer league is open to boys and girls ages 4 to 12. All games will be played Saturdays, April 10 to May 15 at Westside Park. Standard fee is $45 per child and resident discount fee is $35 per child. Team size and space are limited. Registration deadline is March 4.

CAL RIPKEN BASEBALL | Valparaiso
The Valparaiso Department of Parks and Recreation is registering for Cal Ripken baseball, which is open to youth ages 9 through 12 as of April 30. The season will begin on or about May 10 and games will be played weekday evenings and Saturdays at Westside and Kirchhoff Park. The standard fee is $60 per child; the resident discount fee is $50 per child.

St. Andrew's Episcopal Church will hold its 4th annual Jazz Mass at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 13 and at 10 a.m. Feb. 14. The Jazz Mass marks the start of the Lenten season and features a service filled with traditional hymns and jazz standards performed in an up-beat style. The service features Houston resident and jazz saxophonist J.D. Struckmann performing with the Jeff Brown Trio. The church is located at 505 Bullseye Lake Road.

SCANDIANA MEETING | Chesterton
Scandiana Lodge Sons of Norway will meet at 6 p.m. Feb. 13 for a carry-in dinner at the Westchester Library Center, 100 W. A variety of free screenings will be offered including blood pressure, blood glucose and bone density.
