Police: Woman, 54, on 'booty call' arrested for intoxication
CHESTERTON | Chesterton police said an intoxicated woman went to her ex-boyfriend's business on Brown Avenue, then beat on the windows and yelled at him, so he called police to help remove her from the property.
Police said they located the woman, who left the property, driving at 3rd Street and Wabash about 7 a.m. Tuesday and determined she had a blood alcohol concentration nearly four times the standard of intoxication in Indiana.
The woman, Terry Ann Frank, 54, of Chesterton, was arrested on a drunken driving charge. Police said she stated she was "on a booty call" to the man who called police.
78-year-old woman doesn't fall for a Medicare card scam call
CHESTERTON | A 78-year-old Chesterton woman called police Tuesday to report a man with a heavy accent called her and told her she would be receiving new Medicare cards within the next 10 days. The man then asked her to get her checkbook and a piece of paper to write down a confirmation number.
The woman, figuring the caller would try to get her banking information, told the caller she was through with his scam and hung up on him.
