LIBERTY TOWNSHIP | A would-be burglar loaded up a truck with musical equipment Saturday and broke through the fence of a storage site only to flee after the vehicle became stuck in mud, according to county police.

The vehicle was discovered at 12:17 a.m. in the grassy field north of the the A1 Reliable storage units at 44 W. U.S. 6, police said.

The musical equipment had been taken from a trailer parked at the site.

A witness saw a man wearing a baseball cap driving away from the scene east on U.S. 6 on a moped. Police were given the name of a suspect.
