HAMMOND | A Porter County administrator will become the new principal at Bishop Noll Institute.
Craig Stafford, of Chesterton, who served the past year as assistant principal at Chesterton High School and before that as principal at Chesterton Middle School, will take the helm at the Catholic high school.
The announcement was made Thursday by Barbara O'Block, superintendent of the Diocese of Gary.
In a statement released by the diocese, O'Block said Stafford shows a commitment to Catholic values and lifelong learning.
"His energy and passion for the work of education characterizes a leader who will move from vision to strategy and implementation. I am sure all of Bishop Noll's stakeholders will find Mr. Stafford to be approachable, engaged and committed to Bishop Noll's success," she said.
Stafford currently is a doctoral candidate at Lewis University. He earned a bachelor's degree from Ball State University in Muncie and a master's degree from Indiana University Northwest in Gary.
Stafford, 39, and his family live in Chesterton.
