CHESTERTON | Join Susan Nichols for Bookmarks at the Museum on Thursday, September 19, at 2 p.m. at the Westchester Township History Museum, 700 W. Porter Avenue, Chesterton. Refreshments will be served.
In Me Before You, author Jojo Moyes introduces Louisa Clark, an ordinary girl living an ordinary life. She goes to work for adventurer-turned-cripple Will Traynor and falls in love with him. Will has always lived a huge life and how he’s pretty sure he cannot live the way he is – wheelchair bound. Although he is acerbic, moody, and bossy, Lou refuses to treat him with kid gloves even as she falls in love with him. When she finds out his plans for himself, she sets out to show him that life is still worth living.
A Love Story for this generation, Me Before You brings to life two people who couldn’t have less in common – a breathtakingly romantic novel that asks “What do you do when making the person you love happy also means breaking your own heart?”
Bookmarks takes place on the third Thursday of the month at the museum and on the third Friday of the month at Michigan City Public Library, 100 E. 4th St., Michigan City.
It is not necessary to read the book before attending. Books are available at both Thomas and Hageman Libraries.
The museum, a free cultural and educational service of Westchester Public Library, is open to the public Wednesday-Sunday from 1-5 p.m. or by appointment. Call 983-9715 for more information.
