CHESTERTON | Chesterton police are investigating a burglary reported Tuesday in which the victim said she was confronted in her home by a man and then confined before the suspect left the home.
Police were called about noon to the 1100 block of Pam Drive for a report of a woman being robbed by a man inside her residence.
According to police, the man approached the woman from behind as she arrived at her home. The woman told police the man pushed her inside and implied he had a weapon, although no weapon was displayed.
The woman told police the man demanded personal items, and after they were gathered she was “secured” by the man, who then told her not to move, then left.
The man was described as black, 6 feet tall, 190 pounds with short curly hair.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
