The AARP Driver Safety Program will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 18 at Westchester Public Library, 200 W. Indiana Ave., in the Thomas Library Bertha Wood meeting room.
The Driver Safety Program is designed for drivers 50 years old and older, but all ages are welcome. Attendees will learn the current rules of the road, defensive driving techniques and how to operate vehicles more safely in today’s increasingly challenging driving environment. Learn how to manage and accommodate common age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time.
Attendees will receive a certificate of completion that may be presented to their insurance agents for a possible reduction in insurance premiums.
The program costs $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-AARP members. Registration is required. Visit www.aarp.org/drive or call instructor Jeanette Pike at (219) 949-6307 for more information or to register.
