CHESTERTON | Mara Wible will be teaching a variety of jewelry classes during January at the Chesterton Art Center.
On Jan. 8, a Wire Wrapped Glass Bracelet class will be offered from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Students will work with jeweler's wire to twist and bend the materials into a beautiful wire cuff bracelet. The cost is $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers.
A Wrapped Crystal Pendant class will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 15. Wible will teach students a simple technique to create beautiful pendants. The cost is $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers.
A Woven Beaded Cuff Bracelet class will be presented from 7 to 9 p.m. Jan. 22. Students will learn how to make a stunning three-row, stone Bohemian-style bracelet. The class is $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers.
Wible will teach a Byzantine Bracelet class from 7 to 9 p.m. Jan. 29. A Byzantine chain is a 4-in-1 chain design in which each chain passes through four others. The chain is supple and flexible, draping gracefully like a rope. The class is $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers.
