Parents Night Out
Parents can use the Parents Night Out program and stop worrying about finding a sitter, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. every Friday. Trained YMCA staff have fun activities planned to keep each child’s attention. The cost for members is $10 for the first child and $5 for each additional child. The nonmember rate is $20 for the first child and $10 for each additional child.
Time to register youths in grades one to eight for summer camp, which has begun and is filled with swimming, arts and crafts, new games, nature exploration, sports, songs, field trips and new friendships. Each week is themed, and the cost includes a free camp T-shirt. Registration forms are available online at www.dunelandymca.org, at the YMCA front desk, or at the preschool in Chesterton Middle School at Entrance 8.
The Y is providing space for a community garden for the summer. The Y needs volunteers to help construct raised beds. Monetary, construction materials and planting supplies donations are also being sought.

Personal training offer
Ashley Hall, Y personal trainer, is offering hour-long personal training sessions two times each week. Get a total of eight sessions per month. Choose from individual or buddy training with Ashley Hall. Cost for individual training is $150 per month. If you're training with a buddy, cost is $120 per month per person. Junior Lifeguarding Program
Children ages 11 to 14 can learn what skills are needed to enter the American Red Cross Lifeguarding program, the basic responsibilities of being a life guard, as well as communication and decision making skills. School-age day camp
Y Day Camp, like many Y programs, is about learning skills, developing character and making friends. School-age kids become a community as they learn both how to be more independent and how to contribute to a group as they engage in physical, social and educational activities. Y counselors are dedicated to making sure camp is an amazing experience for every day camper. Includes field trips, sports, swimming, crafts, healthy cooking and more. These daycamps are for children entering grades 1-8.
Youth Volleyball Clinic
This clinic is designed to be informative and fun. It's an opportunity for kids to come together, learn new skills and challenge themselves. Camp runs daily from 5 to 6:30 p.m. July 21-24 for grades 6-8 and 6:30-8 p.m. for grades 9-12. Register through July 14.
