WESTCHESTER TOWNSHIP | An 80-year-old local man awoke to a double surprise Tuesday morning when he found a stranger in his house and the uninvited guest claiming he was Jesus, police said.
The resident of the 1200 block of Redbud Drive told county police he woke up at 4:30 a.m. to use the bathroom when another man he did not know walked in on him.
The stranger then walked into the living room and laid down on the couch, police said. When the resident of the house asked him who he was and why he was in the house, the stranger said, "I'm Jesus, your many grandsons know me."
The resident told the stranger to leave, at which point he stood, faced off with the resident and fled in an unknown direction on foot, police said.
The stranger, who reportedly smelled of alcohol, was described as white, with short brown hair, nearly 6 feet in height, a slender build and in his early 20s, police said. He wore dark pants and a red Christmas sweater with a white reindeer on front.
Police said footprints from the residence indicated the stranger attempted to get into vehicles on the street. The resident told police he must have left the front door of the house unlocked as there was no forced entry.
