CHESTERTON | The Duneland School Corp. board unanimously approved four administrative changes at Monday night’s meeting.
Lynn Kwilasz is chief financial officer; Monte Moffett, assistant superintendent of operations and human resources; Jim Goetz, assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction; and Jeff VanDrie as Chesterton High School principal.
Goetz, the Chesterton High principal, is filling the position vacated by Moffett.
Assistant Superintendent David Pruis, who was recently named the district's new superintendent to replace the retiring Dirk Baer, said the recent retirement of Bonnie Gaston, business manager, and his move to the superintendent post created two vacancies in administration.
Pruis said he made the recommendations to reassign administrators to streamline positions in the central office.
“It has truly been a blessing for me to serve the community for the past 26 years," said Baer. "This is a great place to work and expectations are high, but that’s why we hired you. You’re being left in great hands and have a board that will do right by your children.”
