CHESTERTON – The Duneland Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Santa Clause has made a full recovery from a serious illness that prevented him from visiting Chesterton last Saturday. Clause’s publicist released a statement regarding his absence from his Duneland House between the hours of 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 14: “It is believed that Mr. Clause consumed a large batch of eggnog that had been prepared by Mrs. Clause earlier that morning. Symptom onset began shortly thereafter. Mr. Clause has been tested for gluten intolerance, and lab results are expected shortly. The good news is that Mrs. Clause has made the necessary adjustments to her husband’s diet, and Mr. Clause is now thoroughly well-rested and ready for his appearance in Chesterton this Saturday.”
From 10:00 am - Noon and from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm this Saturday, December 21, Santa Clause will be in his house on Broadway in Thomas Centennial Park to hear the Christmas wishes of Duneland boys and girls. Each child will be gifted with a candy cane and activity book donated by Duneland Chamber of Commerce member Metro Recycling.
Additionally, chamber member Walgreens will be on hand during the 10:00 am – Noon time slot to photograph each child during his or her time with Santa Clause. One free photo with magnetic photo frame per child will be available for pick up at Walgreens (located at 580 Indian Boundary Road in Chesterton) and special photo packages will be available for purchase as well. For more information about Santa Clause’s visit to Thomas Centennial Park this Saturday, please call the Duneland Chamber of Commerce at (219) 926-5513, or email email@example.com.
