CHESTERTON – The Duneland Chamber of Commerce will host a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, a Sunrise Seminar, and open office hours for the Indiana Small Business Development Center this week. “We’re definitely keeping busy, and we’re excited to be able to give our members – and the community at large – so many opportunities to network and learn about effective business tools,” says Heather Ennis, the Chamber’s Executive Director.
On Wednesday, May 1, the Chamber will host a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Open House at Rival’s – a newly remodeled bar and restaurant inside Westchester Lanes. From 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, each guest will receive one free slice of pizza and one free beer. The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be held at 4:30 pm in Rival’s, located at 124 N. 8th St. in Chesterton. The public is welcome to attend this free event.
On Thursday, May 2, Lakeside Wealth Management Group will partner with the Chamber to host a Sunrise Seminar entitled “5 Financial Tips You May Not Know…But Probably Should.” This free event, to be held from 9:00 am – 10:30 am, will include a continental breakfast by Third Coast Spice Café. The public is welcome to attend the seminar, which will be held in Riley’s Railhouse, located at 123 4th Street in downtown Chesterton.
On Friday, May 3, the Chamber is hosting open office hours from 9:00 am – Noon for the Indiana Small Business Development Center (ISBDC) in its conference room, located at 220 Broadway in downtown Chesterton. Gary Brownlee, ISBDC advisor, will be offering free small business consulting, including accounting and record keeping, business acquisition and sale, business start-up, cash flow analysis, financial and business analysis, human resource management, loan packaging, market research, marketing and sales, operations, sources of credit and financing, strategic planning, and technology transfer. All ISBDC consulting services are completely free, aside from minimal charges for a very small number of more in-depth products.
