VALPARAISO | A 14-year-old girl told jurors Tuesday afternoon about being molested when she was in fifth grade by Jackie Robson.
"Jackie touched me in my private parts," she said.
"It felt gross," she said, adding that Robson also molested her friend at the same time in the Liberty Township mobile home. "I felt like it shouldn't have happened."
The girl said Robson molested her again a couple weeks later, but she did not disclose the abuse until nearly two years later because she feared losing her friend.
Defense attorney Peter Boyles raised doubt about the accuracy of the girls' claims during opening arguments of the trial and pointed out inconsistencies in their stories.
"This is a case of who are you going to believe," he said.
He predicted jurors would be confused by the end of the trial and unable to believe any of the testimony.
Robson, 49, of Liberty Township, is charged with three A felony and one C felony counts of child molesting. Each A felony carries a potential penalty of 20 to 50 years behind bars.
Robson was convicted in 2009 of molesting an 8-year-old girl.
The most recent accusations involve the period of January 2008 to April 2012. Two of the girls were in fifth grade and the third was two years younger, said Porter County Chief Deputy Prosecutor Matt Frost.
