JACKSON TOWNSHIP | A protective order is apparently not enough to convince a Michigan City woman that a local man is not Mick Jagger.
The 59-year-old man told police on Christmas Day that the woman was once again leaving items outside his home on County Road 1174 North and leaving messages on his phone.
The woman, who is convinced the man is the famous lead singer of the Rolling Stones rock group, has an active protective order prohibiting her from having contact with him, police said.
The man told police he found several towels folded and placed on his front porch just before Thanksgiving. He then received telephone calls from her on Christmas Day saying that orange juice was left underneath his mailbox.
The man said the contact stopped for a period when the woman was jailed, but it resumed upon her release.
Attempts by police to reach the woman by phone were unsuccessful.
