DUNELAND | The Porter County Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce the winners of this year’s Winter Lights Festival Art Show.
The Art Show is held in conjunction with the Winter Lights Festival that was held on Nov. 16 to kick off the holiday season and show off the ever growing collection of lights on display through New Year’s Day.
This year’s theme for the Art Show was a “Snow Globe” Porter County Schools were offered a chance to enter an art exhibit depicting some sort of snow globe. The snow globe could be made from any materials and students were encouraged to be very creative with their projects. Many fabulous projects were submitted and voted upon by a “blind ballot’ system for fairness.

Memorial Elementary School “Escaping the Snow Globe” came in second place, Discovery Charter School Art Club took third place with “We Fish you a Merry Christmas” and fourth place honors went to Parkview Elementary School with their rendition of a snow globe made strictly from Starbuck cup holders.
