CHESTERTON | Students at Liberty Elementary School in Chesterton participated in a week-long Kindergarten service learning project to raise money for pediatric cancer. Throughout the week, some of the activities included coin collection, hat day and a bake sale. As a culminating activity, the students, staff and families, participated in a walk-a-thon during the school day. The students raised over $1832 for The NICK Foundation (Northwest Indiana Cancer Kids Foundation).
