PIRATE EGG HUNT | Lake Station

Bellaboo's Play and Discovery Center at Three Rivers County Park, 28th Avenue and Colorado Street, will celebrate Easter with an After Hours Pirate Egg Hunt from 5:30 to 8 p.m. March 31. Pirate costumes and reservations are required. A pirate map will lead children on a hunt for eggs containing pirate gold and other treasures, and there will also be music, stories, treats and tattoos. Cost is $15 for the first child in a family, $10 for each additional child and $5 for adults; infants 6 months and younger attend free.

Humane Society Calumet Area will hold a Easter Bake Sale from 10 a.m. to closing April 1 to 3 at the shelter, 421 45th St. While the adults shop, children and pets can take photos with the Easter Bunny for $6 each. Donations of bakes goods are appreciated and will be accepted beginning March 30.

EGG HUNT | Portage

Lisa's Gymnastics, 679 Ind. 130, will hold a free Easter egg hunt at noon April 3. Ages 3 to 11 can participate. The Easter bunny will be there and photos will be available. Open gym will follow for those who want to stay and play with the Easter Bunny.

EGG HUNT | South Haven

American Legion Post 502 will host its Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. April 3 at the post, 429 W. County Road 750 North. Dress for the weather. Age groups are 1 to 3, 4 to 6, 7 through 8 and 9 through 10.

HUNT FOR EGGS | Schererville

Schererville Rotary Club will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt at 9 a.m. April 3 at Rohrman Park, 7298 Rohrman Road. Open to all children, four age groups are designated, up to age 9. The Easter Bunny will visit for photos. There is no fee or registration required. Bring a basket or bag to collect eggs.

The East Chicago Marina will be hosting a breakfast with the Easter Bunny from 9 a.m. to noon on April 3. There will be breakfast, pictures with the Easter Bunny, an Easter egg hunt, crafts and prizes. Cost is $3 for children up to age 11; $5 for adults.

Marquette Park United Methodist Church, 215 N. Grand Blvd., hosts its annual Easter egg hunt for ages 1 to 13 on April 3. Registration for this free event begins at 10:30 a.m., activities and games start at 11 a.m. and egg hunt begins at noon.

The American Veterans Motorcycle Riders Association Chapter 1 hosts its seventh annual Easter egg hunt at noon April 3 at Hessville Memorial Park, corner of Kennedy Avenue and 173rd Street. Event is for children ages 14 and under. There will be eggs, candy, raffles and a 50/50. Refreshments served and a biker Easter Bunny.

EASTER WEEKEND | Merrillville

The public is invited to participate in Easter weekend activities at Living Grace Church, 2408 W. 78th Ave. An "EggStravaganza" featuring an egg hunt and lunch will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 3 for children up to grade 5. A full breakfast buffet begins at 9 a.m. Easter morning, April 4, and the Easter celebration service begins at 10 a.m. featuring special praise team music and a message from Pastor Mike Brown.

The Portage Township YMCA invites the community to an Easter Eggstravaganza from noon to 2:30 p.m. April 3. Only 100 presale tickets available at the YMCA for $5. Presale tickets include a hot dog lunch, Easter egg hunt and a picture with the Waster Bunny. Tickets can be purchased at the event for more activities such as a bake sale, sundae bar, games and crafts. Only prepaid tickets will be allowed to participate in the Easter egg hunt.

EASTER FUN FEST | Schererville

Ninth annual Easter Fun Fest hosted by Harvest Ridge Church will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. April 3 at the St. John Township Community Center, 1515 W. U.S. 30. There will be prize drawings throughout the day, a bake sale, indoor carnival games, face painting, free balloons and popcorn, candy-filled Easter eggs and more. Free photos with the Easter Bunny - bring your own camera. Schererville Fire Department and emergency services vehicles will also be in the parking lot for the children to visit. Rascal the RailCats mascot will visit from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Register at www.harvestridgechurch.com for a chance to win a $25 gift card to Target.

Brookdale Sterling House of Valparaiso will be hosting a breakfast with the Easter Bunny from 9 to 10:30 a.m. April 3 at 2601 Valparaiso St. The Easter Bunny will be visiting from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and cameras are welcome. The breakfast will consist of buffet style dining offering eggs, meat, pastry, and coffee and juices. A $5 donation will be collected for the breakfast with all the proceeds being donated to the Alzheimer's Association.

An Easter Carnival for ages 3 through those in grade 5 will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. April 3 at Hebron United Methodist Church, 202 W. Church St. Egg decorating, games, crafts and an egg hunt.

Lowell Downtown Merchants Association will host its annual Easter Bunny Walk-A-Long from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 3 along East Commercial Avenue downtown. The Easter Bunny will be walking along the downtown sidewalks in front of the shops and restaurants passing out free candy and balloons to the children. Families are encouraged to bring their cameras.

First United Methodist Church will hold its Third Annual Bunny Breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. April 3 at 400 W. 44th Place and Cline Avenue. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children 4 to 12, which includes one picture with the Easter Bunny. Younger children attend free. There will be pancakes, sausages, milk, juice and coffee, along with children’s games. Proceeds benefit the children’s church camp fund.

Salem United Methodist Church is planning a fun filled morning with the Easter Bunny on April 3 at Salem Fellowship Hall, 756 W. County Road 350 South. Breakfast and free individual pictures with the Easter bunny will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.  The cost for breakfast is $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 5 to 12, and free for children 4 and under. The Easter Egg Hunt, which is free, will begin at 10 a.m. Bring your children for an unforgettable time with the Easter Bunny hunting for some prize filled eggs. There will be over 2,000 eggs to hunt for.

EASTER EGG HUNT | Chesterton

Crocker Bible Baptist Church, 275 W 1050 N., will have an Easter Egg Hunt after the 11 a.m. service April 4.  Two age groups, with special prize eggs.  No child will leave without some candy.
