TUESDAY
Theft. The Chef at Lucrezia's reported a glass door was broken and a cooler was broken into overnight.
Burglary. Locust Street resident Aaron Barnes reported he was out of town on business June 17 through July 1 and when he returned home he checked his mail and found a bank statement with numerous charges on his debit card that had been made locally when he was out of state. He told police he found that his debit card, another credit card, three pieces of jewelry and a file folder containing miscellaneous legal documents and personal information was missing along with about 50 DVDs.
Theft. Wabash Avenue resident Karla Kroncke reported the theft of her lawn mower.

TUESDAY
Theft. Christopher Berdine reported the theft of his wife's purse from their car in the 200 block of Northwind.

Burglary. Lawrence Strzechowski reported the theft of tools from his barn in the 200 west block of 375 West.
VALPARAISO
TUESDAY
Burglary. Police responded to a burglary call at Valpo Professional Pharmacy, 2102 Evans Ave., at 11:32 p.m. A window was broken and pill bottles were found on the floor. Some pill bottles were reported missing, but an exact list of what was missing was not available.
Theft. Frances Stever reported a birthday card containing $30 was taken from a tray attached to the mail boxes at 156 Andover.
Shoplifting. Ronnie Pennington Jr., 36, of Chesterton, was arrested on a theft charge after security officers at Menards, 351 S. Silhavy, said he left the store without paying for items.
Theft. Mel Mandich, of the 1800 block of Wood Street, reported golf clubs, a golf bag and golf shoes were taken from his vehicle.
Vandalism. James Toren, of the 3200 block of Parker Drive, reported that someone punctured his air conditioning unit.
