HEBRON | A Hebron man was arrested Sunday after police say he set a fire in a garbage can on a gazebo at Alyea Park.

Manuel Salazar, 23, was charged with arson, a Class D felony, and criminal mischief, a Class A misdemeanor.

According to Hebron police, Salazar intentionally threw a burning match into a plastic garbage that was on the gazebo at Alyea Park, 204 W. Church St.

Police said the fire also damaged two other garbage cans.
