HEBRON | Eight people were arrested Saturday and charged with underage drinking.

Police were called to an apartment in the 400 block of Misty Glen Lane on a complaint of loud music and a possible underage drinking party.

When they arrived, police heard loud music and saw several people. Police were allowed access to the apartment and discovered a number of the people consuming alcohol were under the legal age.

Emily Casanova, 19, the apartment's resident, was charged with furnishing alcohol to a minor and possession of alcohol by a minor. Ariel Kerr, 19, of Crown Point, was charged with minor consumption of alcohol and furnishing alcohol to a minor.

Six others were charged with minor consumption of alcohol. They were: James Maynard, 20, of Cedar Lake; Riley Walsh, 18, of Hebron; Jeremy Baldwin, 20, of LaPorte; Emily Littell, 20, of Hebron; Kathryn Arnold, 20, of Crown Point and James Liles, 19, of Merrillville.

All were transported to Porter County Jail.
