HEBRON |  The Porter County Community Foundation presented a Community Grant to Call-A-Ride to help the nonprofit organization provide free transportation for the elderly, indigent and handicapped of Boone Township.

Family Express Corp. also supported the cause by donating gas cards to the all-volunteer organization to help with its fuel needs for the Call-A-Ride van.

Last year the Porter County Community Foundation was able to provide more than $1.9 million in scholarships and grants to nonprofit organizations. The foundation inspires giving and engages the community to improve lives in Porter County now and forever. To make a donation or to learn more, contact the foundation at (219) 465-0294 or visit www.portercountyfoundation.org.
