PORTER TOWNSHIP | The driver of a 2002 Chevy Malibu crossed the center line in a crash that killed two people Sunday.

Police on Friday said after further investigation at the scene of the accident and after interviewing witnesses, they have determined Jessica Trzepacz, 33, of Michigan City, who was northbound on Ind. 2, drove left of center.

Police don't know why she crossed the center line.

Trzepacz died in the accident, along with Laurel Donner, 56, of Valparaiso, who was driving south about 7:30 p.m. in a 2000 Buick LaSabre.

The accident occurred on Ind. 2 north of Hebron where the road curves at County Road 700 West.

The results of toxicology tests, to see whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash, are not complete.
