PORTAGE | Fegely Middle School dance camp participants entertained a packed house during half time of the 8th grade girl’s basketball game. Fifty four girls participated in the dance camp, which was held after school 2 days a week for 8 weeks. Participation in the dance camp was so large that students were broken up into two groups to learn two different dance routines. While a handful of students who participated in the dance camp have had dance experience, others had no training at all before deciding to participate.
This dance camp was open to any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student who was interested in learning basic dance skills and improving their health, flexibility and fitness.
The dancers are coached by 6th grade math teachers Lisa Fralinger and Kristin Szymczak. The coaches were proud of the dedication and hard work all of the dancers put in this year.
