The Greater Portage Chamber of Commerce, along with Sea Quest Lures, have decided to “bring back” a fishing and outdoor show to Northwest Indiana.

“We wanted to do an outdoor show but didn’t have the location necessary to handle a large event," said Nancy Simpson, the executive director of the Greater Portage Chamber of Commerce. After collaboration with administrators from Portage Township Schools it was mentioned that using the school’s field house would be the best venue for the event. “Our location problem was over and we could not ask for a better venue to put on the outdoor show," said Simpson.

The Outdoor show will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 25 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 26 at Portage High School, 6450 U.S. 6. There will be door prizes, a children’s area with Petey the Perch, face painting, balloon making. Seminars will run throughout both days.

Admission is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors and $2 for ages 7 to 18.
